Editor's review
Those who have even the slightest of experience in building ClickOnce deployments, are aware of how difficult it can be to find the right tools for the purpose. While many opt for Mage and Visual Studio, these programs are actually capable of catering only the basic requirements. Moreover, they hardly provide any assistance in automating the build process. In order to resolve the issue, the publishing house of Greg Jackman has come up with a new tool, named ClickOnceMore 2.2, which helps users to make and deploy ClickOnce manifests in your project with the utmost efficiency.
ClickOnceMore comes with a pretty simple, yet attractive interface in silver and white. All the major controls are located on the top and left hand side of the screen. The controls are simple, hence making the operational aspect of the program fairly less complicated. The software, in short, delivers a high-end and efficient development environment, giving you the chance to ensure an effective deployment. All you need to do is, define all the settings in the ClickOnce manifests with the help of the Project Editor, and import files from the hard drive in your system- as simple as that. Not only this, once you are done with defining the ClickOnce projects, you can also merge it easily with Visual Studio by using a post build step to start the command line tool, with the ability of building the projects you defined in the editor itself. Thus, the product eventually ensures you an “one-click-solution” when it comes to deploying all your updated binaries in the Visual Studio. The software, unlike most of its competitors available today, goes way more softer on system resources.
Keeping in mind of its outstanding performance, its overall usability and accompanied by a reasonably placed price, ClickOnceMore 2.2 gets a score of four rating point on the scale of five.
